There should be in the life of every married couple a continual building of the sacrament.
Mother Angelica

The Sacrament of Marriage is established by a marriage covenant. This freely given consent – one to another – signifies and shares in the mystery of the unity and love that exists between Christ and his Church. Christian couples are encouraged to share in the sacramental life of the Church so that they are constantly enriched and ready to share their faith and love when blessed with children.

Preparing for Your Marriage

Couples wishing to marry must meet with a priest before setting a date and at least six months in advance of an anticipated wedding in order to complete the preparation process. For residents of Collier County, one member of the engaged couple must already be a registered Saint Ann parishioner for at least six months before the couple can make a request to be married here. A couple may also request to be married here if a parent or grandparent of either the bride or groom is a regular practicing parishioner. In this case they must have the permission of both their Pastor/Administrator and the Pastor of Saint Ann and will usually complete their marriage preparation in their parish of origin. Contact: Saint Ann Parish Office at 239-262-4256.

If you are getting married in another state or country and are choosing to do your Pre-Cana here at Saint Ann, you need to allow for more time so that the documents of Pre-Cana can be sent/received in a timely manner for your wedding.

In addition to meeting with the priest who is doing your Pre-Cana, you need to attend a two part Marriage Preparation Program through the Diocese of Venice. The Diocese has Regularly Scheduled Times for these conferences.

You will be contacted by the church wedding coordinator about 6 months prior to your wedding. A meeting will be arranged about 3 months prior to go over the details of your ceremony.

After meeting with your priest you will receive the book, Together for Life, which will guide you in choosing the prayers and readings for your ceremony. Once you have made your selections please fill out the selection form online at www.togetherforlifeonline.com and have it emailed to the Parish Office. Your selections will be given to your priest.
